Lori Chavis

Lori Chavis is serving her first term as City of Grenada Councilwoman. Chavis has lived in Grenada with her husband of 30 years and all their children since 2010. Chavis has a Bachlor’s Degree in Mathematics from USC-Coastal where she was a two-sport athlete. She is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives where she served as a Co-President over the South Carolina Chapter and local Myrtle Beach chapter, along with being a certified medical coder and chart auditor and consultant. She is the founding partner and President of Omega Medical Solutions of 22 years and counting responsible for multimillion dollar accounts. Her husband is a retired federal criminal investigator and served in the U.S. Army.
Chavis has served as President of the Grenada Football Booster Club for 10 years, a certified firearms instructor for 4-H, Park and Rec soccer coach, Upwards basketball coach, and she is proud to be a Rotarian. Chavis is a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
As an elected official, Chavis feels humbled and believes as stated in Luke 12:48 of a servant to the city she will be held accountable for her service to the citizens: “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” Her heart is for our God, our country, our children, and our law enforcement. Uniting Grenada by moving forward to create a secure future, a place our children’s children will be able to live and prosper.
